How it works

How a Mockinto interview works

Four steps from sign-up to a scored report. No booking, no waiting for a person, and nothing to install on a computer.

The session

Set up, answer, read, repeat

  1. Step 1: Set up in a minute

Sign up with your email and verify it with a six-digit code. Upload your résumé as a PDF, or paste the job description you are applying for.

  2. Step 2: Get your questions

Mockinto writes about 30 questions for that role: a mix of HR, experience, aptitude and technical questions. Each question is shown as text and read aloud.

  3. Step 3: Answer out loud

Speak your answer as you would in the room. Your words are turned into text as you talk; only the text is kept.

  4. Step 4: Read your report

Get an overall score out of 100, a score for each skill, and notes on every answer: what went well and what could be better. Then practise again.

What is processed, and by whom

Where your words go

Your résumé or job description

Read by an AI model to pick out skills and write your questions.

Your voice

Turned into text. On the web this is your browser’s speech service; in Chrome that is Google’s. In the apps, and as a web fallback, the recording goes to our server and OpenAI transcribes it. Mockinto keeps the text, not audio.

Your transcript

Sent to an AI model after the interview to write your report.

Your report and history

Stored in your account until you delete the interview.

The full list of processors is in the privacy policy, explains who processes your data, how long we keep it and how to delete it. Mockinto is a practice tool and must never be used during a real interview.

How we score

One AI review, stated honestly

Your report is written by an AI model that reads your transcript against the questions. It gives an overall score out of 100, a score for each skill it found in your résumé or job description, and notes on every answer.

It is one AI review, not a human assessment, and scores can vary between sessions. Use it to find the answers worth rehearsing again, not as a prediction of the real result.
