Terms of service

1. The short version

• Mockinto is a practice tool for mock interviews. It is not connected to any employer and cannot promise you a job.
• You must be 18 or over.
• You get 10 free credits at sign-up, then pay ₹10 per credit. Purchased credits never expire. Credits are not redeemable for cash.
• AI feedback can be wrong. Use it to practise, not as advice.
• These terms are governed by the laws of India.

2. Accepting these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Mockinto (“we”, “us”, “our”). They cover this website, the Mockinto web app and the mobile apps once they are released. By creating an account or using Mockinto, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Mockinto.

These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules under it. They do not need to be signed.

3. Who can use Mockinto

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. If you are not, do not create an account.

4. What Mockinto is

Mockinto helps you practise for interviews. You add a résumé or a job description, Mockinto writes questions, you answer out loud, and an AI model writes a report on your answers.

Mockinto is a practice tool only. It is not affiliated with any employer, does not know any company’s real questions and does not promise you a job, an interview or any result. Do not use it during a real interview or assessment.

5. Your account

• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password and sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us at support@mockinto.com if you think someone else has used your account.
• You can ask us to delete your account at any time. What happens to your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

6. Credits and payments

• Every new account gets 10 free credits at sign-up. After that, credits cost ₹10 each, bought from 10 to 2,000 credits at a time. Prices are in INR.
• Payments are made through Razorpay. Your card or UPI details go to Razorpay and never reach us.
• An interview uses credits according to usage, which depends mainly on the number of questions. A default 30-question interview typically uses about 11 credits and one interview never uses more than 15. The booking screen shows an estimate before you confirm, and credits you do not use go back to your wallet.
• Purchased credits never expire. There is no subscription, and nothing renews or charges you again.
• Credits are for use inside Mockinto. They cannot be transferred to another person or redeemed for cash.
• If an interview fails on our side, or it ends before you have answered the first main question, the credits for it are returned to you automatically.
• We may change the price of credits for future purchases. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

7. Refunds

Credits are digital and are used up as you use Mockinto, so we do not refund money for credits you have bought. The exceptions are where the law requires a refund, and where a payment was charged in error, for example if you were charged twice for one purchase. Write to support@mockinto.com and we will look into it. Your rights under consumer protection law are not affected.

8. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• upload or paste content that you have no right to share, or that is unlawful, abusive or infringes someone else’s rights;
• use Mockinto to help you during a live interview or assessment;
• create more than one account to claim the free sign-up credits again;
• sell, share or transfer your credits or account;
• break, probe, overload or reverse engineer the service, or use bots or scrapers to access it;
• pretend to be someone else or use Mockinto to harm anyone.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

9. Your content

You own what you give us: your résumé, job descriptions and answers. You promise that you have the right to share them with us.

To run Mockinto for you, we need your permission to use that content. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display it, and to share it with the providers that help us run Mockinto, only to provide the service to you, keep it secure and meet our legal obligations. The licence ends when your content is deleted, apart from records the law requires us to keep. The Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled.

You may use the reports Mockinto writes for you for your own personal practice.

10. AI-generated output

Questions, scores and feedback are written by an AI model. They can be inaccurate or incomplete, and they can differ from one session to the next. They are practice material, not professional, career or legal advice, and not a prediction of how any real interview will go. You are responsible for how you use them.

We do not promise that using Mockinto will get you an interview, an offer or any other result.

11. Our intellectual property

Mockinto, including its software, design, text, logos and brand, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use Mockinto as these terms allow. You may not copy, modify or sell any part of it.

12. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Mockinto running, but it may be unavailable from time to time, for example during maintenance or because of a problem with a provider we rely on. We may add, change or remove features. The mobile apps are not public yet and will be offered when they are released.

13. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, Mockinto is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its output will be accurate. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under law that cannot be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

14. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, income, data, job opportunity or interview result, arising from your use of Mockinto.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with Mockinto is limited to the amount you paid us for credits in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law, such as liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

15. Ending your use of Mockinto

You can stop using Mockinto at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or the law, or to protect Mockinto or other people. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why.

Closing an account ends your access to any unused credits. Credits cannot be redeemed for cash, except where the law requires otherwise. The sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limit of liability, governing law and grievance redressal continue after your account ends.

16. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of competent jurisdiction in India can hear any dispute about them. This does not take away your right to approach a consumer commission or any other forum that the law gives you.

17. Grievance redressal

If you have a complaint about Mockinto, write to support@mockinto.com. In line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, we will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and redress it within one month.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change matters to you, we will tell you before it applies, in a way that suits the change. If you keep using Mockinto after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using Mockinto and ask us to delete your account.

19. General

If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given it up. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Mockinto.
